Finally, after four months of waiting and no informations from DJI, the firmwareupdate is here. Instead of “end of january” it was “middle of april”.
The “sticker” for your C1, you can download via the DJI Fly app (but I’ve heard, there are some problems – good luck)
What does this C1 label mean? – It means, that you don’t have the strict limitations you’ve had before. Flying in Urban environments and with people nearby is now legal. Lots more, but those are the most important, I think.
You still need to have the A1 – A3 license.
But be aware, that I only speak for Switzerland.
The regulations here weren’t really forced that much by the police – they gave you warnings or advice, because they weren’t really informed about those “new laws”
