Canon R8 and R7 naming is wrong

The R8 just got reviewed by a lot of photographers.
From the name I expected a R7 with one SD-Card slot, no IBIS, an APSC 24Mpx sensor and video specs that comparable to the ones of the R7. (with CLog3)
I expected it to cost around 1250$ to close the gap between the R7 and R10.

But now we got the specs
24Mpx full frame, one SD-Card and better specs than the R7 in almost always for the same price as the R7.
It is more like a Canon RP Mk II than a R8. But the difference between the R8 and RP are, that the RP hadn’t really had a good sensor and wasn’t an option for professional work.
Like many photographers said, the R8 is an R6 inside the body of the RP with the Price of the R7.
